You will need a New Mexico trip permit if:

Your vehicle is not registered in NM, and

You're hauling for hire (passengers or property), or carrying goods for resale, and

You plan to operate in New Mexico.
If your vehicle is already properly registered in NM, or you have a valid NM registration that covers your operations, you dont need the trip permit.
